EXCERPTS

“The unusual objects and ingredients on sale were unnerving. Many with formal education will experience a mental impasse on imagining the uses of items like Chameleon torso, dried bat-skull, granulated wall-gecko, and bags of dead houseflies – Akpa Ijiji.”

““Why use Python when your grandpa can program Rain?” I was referring to Guido van Rossum’s computer programming language. Sammy’s grandpa was a professional rainmaker with fifty years of field practice.”

“Africans should not base their technological growth on Intel, Amazon, Facebook, Huawei, and Microsoft. They must develop alternative Cores and Operating Systems, lest they be trapped in a room with an unlocked door because they refuse to open inwards to their culture.”

“I pointed to a plate filled with oil and yellow granules. “Fat granules from a python”, was her reply, oblivious she had become a snake oil sales-rep. “Python fat removes scar tissues when administered early”. She advised.”

“People find it convenient to adopt a logical and skeptical mindset when nothing is at stake. One is shocked to realize that few can sustain this attitude when sucked into that existential void created by the hopelessness of a terminal illness.”

“Worthy of comment is that evolutionists have ample evidence against alternative views of human origin and evolution, and regard any outsider’s comment as the white noise of trespassers on their private property. Religion monopolized this attitude a while back.”

“Evolutionists should also expect and allow for the supposed improbable capabilities of shamans, witches, and various outsiders.”

“In 1990, following the Christies’ $85m USD auction of Vincent van Gogh’s portrait of Dr. Gatchet, I asked my dad why someone would pay that much for a painting. “Should a framed canvas cost more than a Gulfstream Business-Jet?””

“Mathematics and original African Art are the highest forms of symbolism; ancient African Art encodes the mathematics of the cosmos.”

“Igbo ancestors encoded an advanced cosmology in the holistic understanding of creation, duality, and evolution; in which the One (Chineke) that is Two (Chi-na-Eke) became Two-Many ( uwa wara awa), and in the resolution of the nature-nurture paradox with Cosmo-Lamarckian concepts such as Agwu nne na nna, Osinachi, Akalaka, and Obumputauwa. Osi-na-chi – cosmic inheritance. Aka-la-aka – as discussed and agreed with Chi, Obum-puta-uwa – cosmic RFID chip.”

“Formal education normalizes conceit and disciplinary rigidity as it discourages irrationality.”

“Considering the current rate of technological advancement, to retain global relevance, underdeveloped nations must embrace and extend the irrational core of science.”

“Contrary to the popular narratives of public speakers and empowerment gurus, Thomas Edison does not deserve the global-persistence award. Bernard of Treves deserved such an award. He sought the philosopher’s stone from the age of fourteen until his death at eighty-five.”

“This ability to see, hear, and touch the ethereal seems to separate the true scientist from those administrating.”

“According to the poet, William Butler Yeats, most human beings are like punctured tires, they take low-pressure consciousness for granted. In essence, ‘Normal’ is monochrome consciousness.”

“The inventor of the radio, Marconi, was bundled to a psychopathic hospital as he was expounding the arcane principles of radio transmission to his clueless friends.”

“Initiation rituals in shamanic cultures provide the stabilizers that accompany this transition. Subsequent rituals act as the filters and tuners used to select specific communication frequencies.”

“Magick works because, as Tibetans claim and Physicists are beginning to find out, physical reality is an illusion, albeit a persistent one.”

“This combination of a mentalist outlook and the basic connectedness of forms eliminated “impossible” from their vocabulary. Consequently, a man could transform into an animal and a tree could speak.”

“Corn witchcraft is a corn-based landmine. A yam-based variant of the butterfly-anti-personnel-mine, known as Atiele, is common among the Igbos.”

“Aside from the obvious applications of masquerades in entertainment and social control, masking taps into the latent powers of the subconscious and helps develop the capacity for potent out-of-body activities.”

“Igbo names provide a fingerprint of personal and cosmic relationships.”

“The symbolism of an egg white and yolk also links to the possibility that an egg can draw down Anwu – a potent Chi – into objects or make the Sun appear through a rain-cloud.”

“To achieve external combustion, the appropriate eggs can also invoke the Amadi-Oha deity that represents the will of the community.”

“Rituals and sacrifices enable Chi-2-Chi communication. As standard operating procedure, terms and conditions still apply, because Ejiro Ogazi achu aja: the guinea fowl is not used for sacrifices.”

“The Afa Ita client-server model supports proxy clients, which made the accused a redundant participant. His dad’s structured query language, running on this platform, made him the clearinghouse for thieves and stolen items.”

“Igbo ancestors encoded an advanced cosmology in partitioning the sky with the path of the sun and the moon, mapping these quadrants to a four-day-week compass Eke, Orie, Afo, and Nkwo, and locating markets at these points.”

“In any controversy, dissenters with expert knowledge often offer better cues to the non-expert than proponents.”

“To perform duties through instruction and study is to be programmable.”

“Instead of the hypotheses and experimental procedures of contemporary science, shamans aim at a unified science. Starting from the belief in an interconnected cosmos, their science reduces to techniques of achieving mind-to-mind and mind-matter interaction. This allows them to extract useful information from nature.”

“As with practical skills, theorizing does not make a rainmaker. In the same manner, professing that computers are binary systems of ones and zeroes cannot solve the challenges in the design and production of a computer.”

“Whenever I asked, “Why did you not sell this piece?” or “Why are you not exhibiting that?” He replied in his characteristic staccato phrasing, “ART! Is. Not. Ab.out. Mo.ney. Fo.ol!””

“Computer game addicts may have to thank Dunne for initiating the framework and design of game objects. His viewpoint is congruent with the design of multi-player games, in which the now of the game moves in the section of the computer memory that contains the games’ past and future.”

“Being a creature of habit, the rational mind seldom produces any fundamental scientific breakthrough.”

“In France, a consortium of prominent individuals revolved around that hub-of-a-Magus known as Papus – Gerard Anaciet Vincent Encausse, and his occult driveshaft – Eliphas Levi, a pseudonym of Alphonse Louis Constant.”

“Given the techno-pagan-shamanic culture in Silicon Valley, San Francisco Bay may have more tarot card-readers, mediums, occultists, arcane brotherhoods, and those who stare at goats and crystal balls – vision consultants, than practicing shamans in sub-Saharan Africa.”

“A practical Psi-centered education, geared towards enhancing the human perceptual ability, will produce more creative, resilient, and functional individuals than a copy-and-paste based education.”

“With a key, a few sea urchins and three sea perch eyes, Dali therein described how to snatch inspirations, from the jaws of Sleep.”

“Persistence without a vision is the stubbornness that leads to failure.”

“Science rejects invisible reality of the spiritual kind, which is the native-code of the shaman. It accepts hearing voices as a symptom of a psychiatric disorder and rejects the possibility of a mind-to-mind crosstalk initiated by a broken or an open perceptual window.”

“Irrationality is a relative concept because from a lowered consciousness, rational concepts conceived at a high consciousness can appear irrational.”

“Humans need years of academic programming to accept these imaginary numbers, infinity, and other instances of mathematical fiction.”

“The Alpacino movie, The Devil’s Advocate, illustrated this concept when the African shaman, Phillip Moyez, performed a cross-product with a goat’s tongue to render an attorney speechless.”

“Ndi Dibia adopt a parallel technique of opening the eye and ear with herbs and the blood of a cockerel: ituwa anya na ituwa nti. John Dee and ancient Mexicans used Obsidian mirrors for the same purpose. The theosophist, Charles Leadbeater, may have used a similar technique to view the atomic structure.”

“In 2005, an Igbo Dibia, experienced in the remote viewing level known as VP – Virtual Participation, swore Homeland Security had cranked-up to remote-viewing-plus, after the World Trade Center attack. RV+ is Witchcraft: Winch in Bini lingo, which translates to the software pseudo-code; While (peeking()), poke().”

“Noteworthy are the voice disguisers made from hollow bones and spider eggs, the sound generators made by swirling carved bamboo stalks, and the hair-raising frequencies of the native flute – Oja mmuo. These devices increase the fear-factor in Masquerade initiation ceremonies for the under-aged.”

“The Zangbeto – Man of Night – is a night masquerade. Entertainment is not its primary aim. This rotary-street-sweeper, with its question-mark propulsion unit, resembles a raffia model of NASA’s Apollo Command Module.”

“The Oha tree is the symbol for Chi-Oha, the Chi of the community, their ife kwudebelu ife. The Oha tree is sacred because an Oha Chi is an Ife Chi. Therefore; the Anyanwu shrine contains the Oha tree – a psychic condenser, because Chi-Chi-Oha interfaces with Anwu – the Sun’s ife kwudebelu ife.”

“Stripped of its metaphysical verbiage and bragging rites, Igbo cosmology is mathematical. It is reducible to a binary-tree of encapsulated binary relationships, rooted in a core of still-motion, positive-negative, or male-female principles.”

“To interact with this matrix of cosmic influences, one needs to search for the existence of a solution: Igba Afa. Arbitrate conflicting goals with the different Chi: Ikpe Ikpere. Provide and maintain the references on which relevant forces remain neutralized Odinala, Nso Ala, Ofo, and Ogu. Absorb and augment resultants through sacrifices Ichu Aja, and provide templates and constants through Ndi Dibia and Ndi Nze. This is analogous to the solution of a multi-variable simultaneous equation, which yields whole numbers, positive and negative numbers, fractions, irrational numbers, zeros, and indeterminates.”

“Shamans use chants, herbs, and incantations to enter heightened states. Afa and Ifa are the divination used in West Africa by the Igbo and Yoruba; Agwu and Orumila refer to the associated spirits. These divination practices share a programming language and number system taught to initiates. Afa Ugiri uses sixteen Ugiri (Irvingia gabonensis) shells strung in a nibble; two nibbles make a byte. For the geek, this system comprises a combinatorial hexadecimal of four binary-coded-decimals (BCD’s). When cast, each shell of a nibble faces up or down to encode a decimal.”

“Aside the use of seeds and shells, Afa Akparata or Afa Ase, and Afa Ita use designer bio-devices.9 The Akparatus resembles a mini raffia mat, in a book format. It operates as a two-leaf quad-core binary-device. The leaves open, close, sway right and left or remain inactive to yes-no questions. Since the fingers and thumb clamp this device, Electronic Engineers would consider it a 5-pin transistor-diac actuator module.”

“The shaman and client alternate placing the leaves on the fingertip base: seven leaves per person. Then the shaman places an Ita atop the leaves, in an attempt at a dual-Core-i7 macro-processor architecture. The Ita comprises a biomaterial, Ferro-material, and soil mix in a rectangular container of about half a little finger deep, two forefingers long, and one forefinger wide. The container is precision-wrapped with strips of dried palm frond, in an X-configuration; portions of the mix remain visible at the centroid. ”

“Skipping the proto-science, this Oji-eyi leaves setup has the characteristics of a limited-slip differential. Its mode of operation is comparable to the Volkswagen’s Synchro four-wheel-drive system.”

“Decades before Androids and Apples replaced pencils and pens, when programmers accessed scarce computer memory with long jumps, Interrupt Handlers were critical to a class of computer programs known as Terminate and Stay Resident (TSR) utilities – the core of computer-Virus technology. This term is apt for hired assassins, because of its property of remaining dormant until invoked by an interrupt request. TSR’s have evolved into Android events and Web-able Trojans.”

“One ceremony taught Pinning, while the other installed the human version of the US Air Force E-3 Sentry – Airborne Warning and Control System (AWACS). He said the shamans stopped teaching pinning because the young men used it to pin girls who refused their advances. The AWACS was not teachable; a radar-shaman installed it.”

“In the movie Constantine, John Constantine – Keanu Reeves – portrayed the activation of an analog callback routine when he struck his chest in the fourth dimension to re-enter the third. The movie also depicted a cat-eyes procedure of using reflective surfaces to access virtual spaces.”

“To pursue borrowed goals and to nurture dreams snatched from billboards and contemporary media does not quite qualify as a dream. Such a dreamer chases after the recent-past because another had dreamt-up the car, house, and job the dreamer craves.”

“In the opening chapter of MIT’s entry-level computer science course, Structure and Interpretation of Computer Programs: Building Abstractions with Procedures, the authors’ use of metaphors to link sorcery with programming is comparable to a female venture-capitalist’s use of her intimate knowledge of motherhood to describe the challenges of a startup tech-company.”

AFTERWORD

Grandmasters

Among grandmasters and adepts in any art, it is taken as a given that a huge difference exists between an original work and a reproduction; between a tool or stool used by a master and its copy.

Certain essences cease to exist in a reproduced work. An author infuses a unique essence in an original manuscript, which is lost in mass production. How then would one embed this lost essence in a copy? What are the qualitative differences between an original and a copy?

Psychic Imprint

The author transfers part of this essence when he/she reads a few pages of such copies, with utmost concentration, and signs each copy afterward. In the proper state of mind, the reader would intuit those experiences, associations, and understandings impossible to convey in writing.

Since everyone influences, the fidelity of such an essence would reduce as others infuse their essences through multiple contacts. The psychic imprints are never lost, but experience has taught many to guard such essence-copies with jealousy.

Rubicon Edition

Is this Proto-science? Perhaps, but ancient Nri-Awka-Igbo blacksmiths – who built the Buckingham Palace gate, Japanese sword makers – whose swords could cut steel, and Zen Archers – who shoot blindfolded, would have thought otherwise.

Likewise, the author is issuing a limited Rubicon Edition, pre-read, and autographed hard copies for those who have crossed the Rubicon of their lives, with the hope that they would deprogram and awaken to the spirit of Python and the Rainmaker.
